Hi! I’m a new Hoya momma. I transferred her to water because I’m better at keeping plants alive there, will need to replant in soil soon. But other than that, is it normal for the vine to grow and the leaves to slowly grow at the top of that vine, and not at the bottom?? I see another leaf growing but just wondered if this looks right. Any advice or perspective would be helpful! Thank you! 🍃
Yes- leaves most often grow nearer to the end of the vine.

Hoyas will put out bare vines that just climb and grow. Then, it starts adding leaves to the vines. My Hoya Meliflua added so much bare vines that I just started rolling them up. I can’t cut them because new vines put out flowers. I found the leaves on the new vines in spring when they start the growing season.
If you intend to griw any plant on water, change the water at least once a week because plants use all the oxygen in the water and tgen plants will suffer and go downhill. Since you dlready have water toots, I woukd suggest grow the plant in leca instead of soil.
