Hey all! I’ve had this Hoya for about 8 months now, and it has had basically no growth (one long stem with only 2 leaves that I recently chopped to propagate). I’m looking for some tips on how to promote growth, and if there’s anything I can change about my care! It sits in a sun room with north/west facing windows, so it gets lots to light. I water when soil is 70%+ dry. I fertilize with a liquid fertilizer sporadically (maybe every 4-5 waterings). I appreciate your help!

All my hoyas are putting out new great even ones that have not put out a leaf in 6 months. I contribute it to the warmer house temperatures and the extra dose of fertilizer/SuperThrive each month. Lighting is unchanged since every hoya is under a grow light. Humidity is always high at around 50 percent. I live in Zone 9a. I have two pubicalyx (Pink Silver and Royal Hawaiian) on my kitchen counter. Bought them last summer with 3 years of growth each. They are the only hoyas in my collection that kept growing through winter even when I reduced fertilizer to a once a month application. I have increased watering and they are growing faster (using more water) since my house is warmer now. I fertilize twice a month with diluted Miracle Gro and SuperiorThrive plant vitamins in the warmer months. They put out 2 leaves a month in winter. They are putting out more now in the growing season. They both have their own grow light positioned about 1 ft from each plant. They get 12 hours of light each day.

The new growth has shiny leaves and dark stems. Hoya Pubicalyx Pink Silver has the brass colored trellis and a liter burgundy vines. The Hoya Royal Hawaiian has the black trellis and almost black stems.
