Treat it like your ex, completely ignore it 😂. I always do the taco test to see if my Hoyas need watering. Of the leaf folds it needs a drink. Otherwise leave it alone. Did you repot? It seems like the pot is too big. They like to be rootbound.

😂😂 about the ex. I just got it and put it in that pot. I believe it is a 4 inch pot.

Yes I agree the pot might be too big.

My Hoyas always start in plastic cups. I cut drainage in the bottoms and I wait until I can see roots popping up on top of the soil. She’s in a 4 inch pot and probably needs an upside soon.

Lots of light and per the googles they don’t like the cold -it’s my first winter with mine so 🤷‍♀️.

First seek the previous post here in this group about Hoya macrophylla. Then you will be able to find better information about the preferred growing conditions for this H. latifolia (outer variegated) you can use words like in situ and/or .edu in your search. Most Hoya are adapted to our domestic conditions as well. Knowing the previous growing conditions whet the Hoya thrived could assist you as well. All that said, I grow mine indoors in a SE facing window in coco chips and perlite *with some oyster shell* (fast draining but moisture retentive with added aeration and calcium). This Hoya is one of the minority of species that appreciates the added shell. They do like to have lots of airflow circulating around their roots.

Here’s an example of one in the wild. Growing on moss covered logs and rocks. It’s and epiphitic and lithophytic species.
