My Hoya Bella was one of the first larger hoya I got last year. I read it was an “easy bloomer!” It was not an easy bloomer for me, though. It was an aphid magnet! It had aphid infections three times in three different colors of aphids (black, green, orange) since August. It put out one peduncle last month. It turned pale yellow and fell off yesterday!😭 I still love the foliage even without blooms. It has grown quite a lot this since August 2023 when it arrived.🪴😍

It’s beautiful and has a grown a lot, despite all of its problems! I’m jelly. None of my Hoyas seem to be growing. I don’t have any Bella’s though.

I’m not doing much to get foliage growth. I have almost all of the indoor hoyas under grow lights. I try to water as soon as the potting mix is completely dry. I use Miracle Gro fertilizer and SuperThrive about every two to three weeks in the warmer months. I get regular new growth. I couldn’t get blooms until I put some in bright morning direct sunlight outside. It’s also very humid. I’m in zone 9a.

My bella has been blooming consistently since November. I have her in an east window, getting a few hours of direct morning sun. I also water her twice a week. I

I’m hoping for blooms. Their flowers are so pretty.
