**Update: Heard back from the seller that it is Hoya verticillata silver.** Hello folks! I got caught up in a mystery auction a few days ago on Palmstreet. I know, I know. Dumb idea. 🫣 I won’t even tell you what I paid for this. It pisses me off every time I think about how I got sucked in. 🫤 But anyway, I fell for it. In this auction, you just start bidding. Once you have won the bid, THEN you find out what you had just bid on. (Don’t tell me…I already feel stupid enough.) Anyway, they moved on SO quickly, I didn’t even catch the name of this plant (yes, I got sucked in THREE times!😳). One was a gorgeous albo monstera, another was a dumb ol’ variegated desert rose, then there was THIS plant. A Hoya, I know, but WHICH Hoya? All it came with was the auction number, which I thought was weird. Can anyone help me out with what kind of Hoya this is? And no. I will NEVER bid in a mystery auction again.

    Were did you even find an auction? Facebook? No I'm not going to do it i am just curious where you found it.

      Oh Darlin’! Online plant auctions are AWESOME! 🤩 (This PARTICULAR one was a “mystery auction”, which I obviously won’t do again.) But Palmstreet has a TON! There are several sellers I’ve bought plants from and I’ve been AMAZED at the plants! Orange Lake Nursery actually has one going on right now. A couple of other sellers I’ve had great success with are Rare Plant Fairy, The Green Escape, and Plant the Studio. You just place your bid, then you can see if someone else has outbid you, then you can bid higher. But it goes really quickly. The seller holds up the plant that’s up for auction, people start bidding and as soon as the bidding ends for that plant, they move on to the next one. It’s CRAZY fun!! 🤩

      Oh. You should DEFINITELY do it! I just don’t recommend a “mystery auction”. I found out I’d really rather KNOW what plant I’m bidding on and get it if I want it. In my defense though, (and this was their gimmick that obviously worked well for them) they had a HUGE, gorgeous Albo monstera, as well s as several other big, beautiful, unusual plant that were prizes they were giving away to auction participants. The “prizes” were labeled with a number. As were all the other plants. You would bid on a number. Then, if you were the winner of that bid, they’d show you what plant was labeled with that number, and that was yours. The big prizes were given out to winning bidders IF they happened to win the bid on those. But I didn’t win the good ones. And I paid dearly for the ones I got. Which is okay if I don’t think too much about it. LOL! If anyone is near Weiser, Idaho and wants a free variegated desert rose, I’m your huckleberry. Not a plant I’m interested in.

      I can’t stand auctions, great for the seller but the buyers bump up the price till you want it no matter the price.

    Oh and I'm sorry idk that kind of hoya i think its pretty rare though. At least in my area

      LOL! It is a very slippery slope, isn’t it? But cheaper than therapy, I suppose. 😏

      I LOVE this one!! Palmstreet is so addicting. If you want Hoya specific ones I highly recommend DadePlantco and Jaxs_Jungle. They’re both amazing!
