Hi! I believe I have a crimson princess Hoya here- though I think the variegated stems have all died. These plants started as one but the roots were not in great shape when I got it so decided to repot into 2 smaller pots. I wasn’t sure if the brown stems might come back (I hope so but I don’t think so 🥲) and if I should just leave them for now or if I should repot the healthy stems together and discard of the dead ones. When you say the roots were not in great shape do you mean it had root rot? I was wondering if previous damage affected the plants. Both plants look dehydrated based on the yellow stem and wrinkled leaves. The soil in the black rim pot may have dried so much that it’s not holding water well. Plus, there is too much soil for so few cuttings in the black rim pot. I recommend replacing the soil in both pots with a chunky mix that provides good drainage and more oxygen to the roots. See my hoya soils in the picture. The original chunky nursery soils are shown. You can’t use standard potting mixes with hoyas because the mixes usually have peat moss which holds too much moisture in the roots. I recommend reducing the width of the black rim pot by a half. Hoyas like a snug root fit with a little growing room of about 1/2 inch in a small pot. Also, water when the leaves go limp, are less plump, starts to curl and before the leaves start to wrinkle. 🪴🍀
