A smaller pot is better with very few roots. She should need more light if only putting out leaves after 2 years. The small leaf sizes of the newer leaves shows it needs more light. Be sure to add 50 % diluted fertilizer every two weeks in the warm months. Low nutrients can slow plant growth. 🍀🪴

I moved her out of direct light (behind my spidey to filter it now) because she was crisping up!! She’s fertilized well 🥰 thank you for the tips!!

Do you think now that I’ve added more holes to her pot it’ll help? I know they like air!! Im scared to move her closer to the window, what do you think about the placement?? The window only gets about 2 hours of filtered direct sunlight!

More holes won’t hurt. But, my hoyas do well with only drain holes because the soil drains very quickly. I don’t use standard potting soil with peat in hoyas. I use a mix of coconut coir, perlite, orchid bard chips, lava and pumice. You can add worm castings and charcoal bits.

Two hours of filtered light is too little. I moved many hoyas outside into direct morning sunlight after finding out they grow like crazy and constantly bloom! My pic shows a Hoya Lacunosa in the upper left that arrived with about 4 peduncles in April. Its loaded with many peduncles on their forth set of blooms right now! It grew almost a foot and has beautifully sun stressed since bringing it outside. It arrived all green, the common and cheapest Lacunosa. I highly recommend gradually getting more east or west light at least 6 hours a day. Note, I only got 1 Hoya to put out 1 peduncle under my cheap grow lights. The Hoya Heuschkeliana, lower left, has been blooming daily since March. The Hoya Lacunosa Long leaves and Hoya Noona have been blooming several weeks straight after getting Northeast facing direct light until 11am. Your dry edged crispy leaf looks like dryness. The yellowing looks like overwatering or too low light. 🍀🪴
