Hi all! New user to planta and am looking for advice on my hoya! It flowered about this time last year but the peduncle looks like this (in the photo) and there’s been no growth past that! Should I trim it and hope it grows back or what is best to help it flower again/keep growing on this trail? It has about 4 other healthy long trails too.

I’m not sure if something happened to the peduncle or not since the angle of the pic is kinda weird, but don’t trim the flower spike! Your plant will need the right conditions to flower again

Don’t trim the peduncle. Your best chance of getting blooms is from peduncles that bloomed once.

Hi there, I agree with Sunny, we should never trim or cut penducles…unless they are really unhealthy or badly damaged. Sometime it happens to a some of my Hoyas too, occasionally the buds around the penducle never gets to fully develop, then they dries out and fall away, but the penducle is still there. If the buds of yours dries out too, then let them fall or gently remove them with a dump cotton bud. Hope this helps.

Sometimes if some of mine don’t flower I’ll give them a good rinse in the shower and a thorough fertilizing. I also spray them with some neem just in case. Also make sure it’s not underpotted. That can stunt flowering.
