My old Hoya Pubicalyx ‘Royal Hawaiian Purple’ has finally put out a peduncle! It’s over 5 years old. It put out an excessive amount of leaves. So, I cut back on the frequency of fertilization this summer to slow the leaf growth. I was experimenting. I was going to sell it and was preparing to clip off the dead vines when I noticed the flowers. It must have felt the threat. 😆
