My Hoya Verticillata (pink) has its first blooms!๐๐ธ The size is similar to a golf ball. It a has a scent similar to Hoya Lacunosa and Hoya Krohniana. Itโs a spice scent with bergamot. Not overpowering. The red spots are edema that got sun stressed. This hoya was formerly known as Hoya Parasitica. ๐ชด๐
Wow Iโve never seen the flowers look this good. Where do you live? Canada isnโt the best climate for them I guess. ๐
์ข์์ 1๊ฐ I live on the Texas southern coast, zone 9. The temperature is very hot in summer with high humidity. Most of the hoyas I have can bloom in household temperatures with moderate humidity if the lighting and fertilization is good. I found that my hoyas readily bloom with direct sunlight on the leaves. I have to use eastern morning light. Midday sun burns the plants unless itโs filtered through gauze or sheer currents.
