Hello everyone! I am new to the Hoya Lovers Community and the plant community to be honest and really want these babies to thrive. I got this one I think is a Hoya Pubicaly Splash but it was labeled in the store as “mixed Hoya” any ideas on the specific type so I can better care for it? Also any tips for a new Hoya owner is greatly appreciated ❤️✨🙏🏻
It looks like my Pubicaly/Carnosa I just bought. I think it’s a common hybrid of the two.

0 J'aimeIt looks like a Pubicalyx to me. Give them light and warmth and water. I fertilize with every watering. For mi e they grow all winter, they just slow down.

It looks like a Hoya Pubicalyx Pink Silver or Royal Hawaiian Purple. I have both. The flowers will show the variety. They grow all year from my experience. My 5 year old plants have not bloomed when a dozen hoyas next to them in direct morning sun are blooming all summer. 😁They do sun stress well and grow like a weed. I don’t know how to get them to bloom. They do like bright morning light and bright shade the rest of the day. I fertilize twice a month with 50% diluted Miracle Gro fertilizer. Over fertilizing can cause burns. I add drops of SuperThrive plant vitamins with the fertilizer. 🪴🍀

0 J'aimeMy publicalyx is super tolerant ! It can go a while without water. I generally water when soil is totally dry, and it’s in a window with a bit of direct sun and lots of indirect sun. But I find them pretty forgiving. Good luck and enjoy it !!
