Ants are farming orange aphids on my recently opened blooms. These are the first blooms of my three years old Hoya Loyceandrewsiana. The ants are eating the nectar in the flowers. The ants benefit from the nectar produced by the aphids after the aphids suck the sap from my plants. The ants move the aphids to the tender new shoots and fight off insects that come onto the plant. Symbiotic pests. I have leveled up to using Raid ant and roach spray to fight them. 😩

Update: Tragedy! The ants cut off all the flower stems!😭 Time to dunk the pot in water the ants. I will temporarily move the plant to a new location until I can wash away the ant trails to the area.
