Can someone help me identify this plant. The options I am getting are Hoya Kerrii and Rubber plant.

I’m leaning more towards Hoya. Not a kerrii though, their leaves are heart-shaped. Maybe a Subquintuplinervis? I would google image search “Hoya round leaves outer variegation” or “albomarginata” as the key words in this case. Then you can compare to what looks most like yours. That’s my identification trick anyways lol

Thank you. I got it as a replacement from another one I purchased on Etsy
1 me gustaI would classify it as Hoya Pachyclada New Moon but that might be the same as what @sunny said.

Thank you. I agree with you 👍🏽
1 me gustaI’ve seen the name H.P. Albo Marginata interchanged with ‘H. Pachyclada Variegata ‘New Moon’ and simply H.P. Variegata. I don’t know what’s official. I just want the one that can get a red edge! Hopefully, it’s the cheapest one!🤣

‘New moon’ is a cultivar name. Usually when we obtain a new Hoya, in this case a variegated one without a label, we can only refer to it as no id. If it’s an obvious leaf as this one is, we can, for our own care purposes, label it Hoya subquintuplinervis (outer variegated) There’s a whole this about using Latin, guessing the cultivar, yada yada… IMO his mainly applies when we consider sharing a cutting with our guessed label. The most famous example of this is Hoya carnosa ‘variegata’ (an official cultivar) further cultivated to ‘krimson queen’ for certain special characteristics, while many other versions of Hoya carnosa (outer variegated) also existed in the 70’s. Now everyone believes they have a krimson queen when they really have an outer variegated carnosa. Hope this was helpful.

Thank you 🙏🏽 but since this app does not have that plant listed, which other Hoya has similar needs so I can select that one and change the name?
0 Me gustaI’ve seen these but didn’t think it was a Hoya so I left it behind. It’s so beautiful! Glad you posted so I now know to snag it next time I see it! :)

For a care plan you can select Hoya pachyclada or subquintuplinervis in this app. Remember that the advice Planta gives is for a mature plant. You will want to customize it to remind you to check really young plants in smaller pots more often. Subquintuplinervis likes to dry out in between waterings as it’s leaves hold a bit of water 😊
