I found a mealy on my blooming super silver 😭😭😭 any tips?! should I just chop and prop??

    Chopping won’t clear them. Try dabbing each bug with alcohol on a cotton swab.

      okay awesome I did exactly that for the one I found and i did a thorough check and did not find anymore or any signs…. I went ahead and sprayed the plant with dead AF so I’m hoping that should be enough :(

    Immediately spray with 70% alcohol. Soak the whole thing. I’d avoid any blooms/peduncles as it can ruin the blooms. Spray at least once a week for three weeks any pls t near or around d it should get the same treatment.

    I would also check the soil. When I brought home a new plant and I saw mealy bugs on it I read that they sometimes go into the soil. To be safe to pulled it from the soil and found SO MANY all in the soil. They die with alcohol so I would just spray them as I found them. But they were all throughout the soil - so be thorough. They were sneaky and could’ve been overlooked had I not checked.

    Is the bug the white thing? Never seen a mealy bug.
