Got a new Hoya today, but without a label. I’m not familiar enough with krohniana and lacunosa to spot the difference, but I’m thinking it is one of those two. My gut is telling me krohniana, but I might just want it to be that because I love the darker leaf margins and want it to be a black leaves. Though it’s probably just a regular ol’ something 😁 which is just fine. One pic under grow light, second natural light. 💚

I don’t disagree that it looks very similar, but I have one of those and the leaf size is just so much smaller. Black margin top left 🤔

love the side by side photo! i didn’t realize the verticillata leaves were so much larger. upon closer inspection, they do have the krohniana leaf shape. i don’t have either species but i’ve heard lacunosa leaves are slimmer and flimsier

Looks like a Krohniana. (see pic) I have the Hoya Krohniana Super Splash in a 6” pot that has similar sized leaves except with a white coating. It has the ribbed sections on the leaves. It’s harder to see with the splash variety. I have 3 Lacunosa and all the leaves are tiny compared to the Krohniana leaves.
