I got a Hoya Australis Lisa in the mail today and Iā€™m having a little buyerā€™s remorse. Do you think she looks healthy? She didnā€™t smell great when I opened the box, but I think itā€™s because one leaf fell off during shipping and was rotting. I removed the leaf and repotted her in a better soil. The roots looked good and I sprayed them with hydrogen peroxide. She is a bit floppy in her pot. She was floppy when she arrived and repotting didnā€™t help. While she doesnā€™t have anything to trellis yet, do you think it would be a good idea to add a trellis to the pot for her to lean against?

    It looks great for a plant that was shipped. Leaf loss is common especially in summer. Iā€™m astounded the tiny new leaves didnā€™t yellow or drop. It needs to adjust and acclimate to the new environment at least a couple of weeks. I recommend fertilizing it if there are fertilizer beads in the soil.

    Yeah it looks really good. Maybe put a chopstick in there and wrap a stem around it as much as you can at 1st. She just need to settle and relax in your home. I love mine too. They are so pretty!!

    Lisa has a reputation for being a diva. She throws tantrums (drops leaves) for just about anything. Give her time and patience, sheā€™ll prob be gorgeous once she settles in.

      I had an Australis Lisa that was one of my best behaved hoya. Had no issues including leaf drop until it got a fungal infection

    Thatā€™s th Elle biggest bunch of leaves compared t to my australis lisa Her leaves are no longer than an inch. That makes me wonder if itā€™s a australis lisa. Have you tried chat GPT for identification. Iā€™ve heard that people a re e funding it pretty good with identification.
