I’ve had this a while. Bought a Sunrise but now I’m suddenly thinking it’s a Porcelain Flower. What do you think? Do I need to go get a real Sunrise? 😬

Hoya sunrisa is a type of porcelain flower! Hoya is the latin name for it. But yes you’re right, that does not quite look like a hoya ”sunrise”. The leaves look too round and the colour a bit too splashy and green. Is it not turning a bit red in intense light?

I think I recall it stressing in the sun at some point, but I can’t swear to it now.

SunnyIt looks like a Hoya Sunrise with a lot of fertilizer and no exposure to direct sunlight or intense light, in general. You can confirm by placing it within a foot from a grow light or in direct sunlight to see if it easily sun stresses. 🪴🍀

It’s under the grow light 12 hours and I think I remember seeing it stressed at one point. Different lights may not be as good. I’ll see what I can change.

CrixVerdeHi there, i have 3 stunning Hoya Sunrise and definitely this one does not look like mine. Mines have shorter leaves with the typical sun stressed pattern due to the exposure to a bright natural sun light. I may have to agree with you though, it looks much like a Porcelain Flower. It looks pretty gorgeous too!
