Hoya Pachyalada.. what does everyone do with Hoyas that have a stem too thick to trellis? Just let it stand tall??

    I do the same as you i wrap it around a skewer or 2

    I wait for it to get to 5-6 leaves and prop it into a larger individual pot so then I can have 5-6 sticks standing up in a year 🤣

      I asked this same question to a Hoya group on Facebook. Everyone said, let it vine, take it off the stake. Gently pulled out the stake and laid the vine down, it looked really ugly. I decided to put it back on the stake and I one of the bottom nodes it’s snapped. How’s a very careful very gentle and very, very annoyed that I listened to someone. So that brings me here to say I have two pieces propping as we speak.

      Stick them in water. It’ll root in a week. Much faster
