my very first hoya. i’m so excited to see how she grows. is she looking good so far? any tips for a first time hoya hoarder? ☺️

      Ooooooh! I thought that’s what I was getting, but mine turned out to be an Australia Lisa. Please post pics when yours start to vine, mine just started pushing out new growth.

      It’s no longer call crimson princess. It is now Hoya Carnosa inner variegated. The “queen” is listed as Hoya Carnosa. Outer variegated. Please pas this on when you see anyone else saying crazy mid. Princess or Queen. It makes it easier to identify them either inner or outer variegated.

    It’s a slippery slope once you get the first hoya!😁 They are lower maintenance than the typical tropical plant, from my short 2 experience of owning them. I do recommend changing the soil to one with perlite or a a chunky mix. Hoyas like more air at their roots being epiphytes. The chunky blends in my potting mixes are shown. They mostly consist of coconut husks, perlite, worm castings, and orchid bark.

      Where do you get worm castings and what do they do?

      Worm castings is worm poop. 😁 No poopy odor, organic and nutritious for plants. They are the size of rice grains. I bought mine online.
