Help! I'm so confused by the To Do List. I fertilized 4 days ago. She's dry today. So looked, it says to fertilize in 11 days, and water in 26 days.... huh?

    i personally don’t use the watering schedule. it never fits my plants needs. the watering schedule is just a rough idea of when to water. i would recommend watering when she dry or looking droopy! or use the taco leaf test. if the leaf is super pliable, and can make a taco shape, it needs water.

    But i water it next right? Not fertilize again, correct? Is it normal for it to dry out so quick? The bottom leves are squeegie/soft.

      hmmmm. is it root bound? only fertilize every other month, or at least that’s what iv heard to do.

    You watered it 4 days ago and it’s already dry? Is it in a cover pot as the one pictured? I think it’s hard that the soil is dry after 4 days unless you are using an orchid pot which has many slits or holes. If the bottom leaves are soft and squishy, you may have root rot. I’m no expert, bit it’s not good if your watering every 4 days.

      Yes, I watered 4 days ago. Soil is hard. I just bought it and was waiting for warmer weather to repot. It doesn't smell like rot. She's getting new baby leaves. My house is extremely dry. I do have humidifier and grow light. Bottom leaves are "soft" vs the hard rubbery ones on top.

      Oh it’s a new plant. I find the substrate they use, becomes hard and does dry faster. I think it’s a peat moss or coco coir. Not sure. I’d repot it. Get it out of whatever it’s in now and put it in a proper soil mix.

    I recommend using a fertilizer you can mix in with water. Then just water/fertilize every watering. As Autumn mentioned above, just use this app as a rough idea of when to water.

      So do I water it now if soil is dry? Or wait cause I read somewhere it's a succulent... I'm so confused

    I’ll prob get backlash for this, but any new plant I get, I’ll water it if needed, and then repot it within a couple days. I’ll give the plant a good bath and then repot. I figure if it’s going to go through any shock, might as well do it all at once.
