Recently picked this little Hoya up at The Rhoads Garden for $6, but I’m very new to Hoyas. Could anyone tell me what I can use to clean the leaves? I’ve currently got Bonide’s Insecticidal Soap, Neem Oil, and Castile Soap to work with, but I don’t wanna use anything on it until I can confirm that it’s save to use on these type of leaves. I’d also really appreciate if anyone could confirm if this is a Hoya Carnosa, or some other cultivar of Hoya. TIA for any help in figuring either of these out!

    I agree that it’s a krimson princess. Can you not just use water to clean it? Although, I’ve used insecticidal soap and Castile soap on my Hoyas, and they’ve been fine

      I can try that. I think it’s just mineral deposits on the leaves from tap water being poured over it from where I got it, so I can try that. I just wanted to make sure that the stuff I usually use to clean my plants’ leaves can still work for the new Hoya. Thank you! 😊

      Water won’t get off water stains. Or fertilizer stains.

      The stuff you have to clean can use on this Hoya. The name krimson princess is not its name. It’s a Hoya carnosa inner variegated. The queen would be the Hoya carnosa krimson queen is now the Hoya Carnosa outer variegated.

      When did the name change? Did they get rid of it altogether? Is it not still a nickname?
