   It doesn’t look like a peduncle. But, I can’t tell the type of hoya that is. From my experience they usually have flower buds on them when they emerge. My Hoya Nummularioides in the photo has several peduncles at various stages of growth. Even the tiniest one has tiny flower buds. The longest peduncle is about an inch long.

     I’m curious too about this. It would be cool if it produced blooms. I had to move mine outside into morning sunlight for 5 hours a day to get them to bloom. They were shaded by the patio covering from 11 am onwards. But, the indirect light was bright underneath the covering. I also fertilized religiously every two weeks with 50% diluted MiracleGro fertilizer and added SuperThrive plant vitamins to the fertilizer water. I didn’t delay watering and watered as soon as the chunky mix soil dried out. A lot of the blooms were juicy and produced dripping nectar. So, watering when needed was imperative. Some of the blooms are shown in the photo. You can try moving it to an east, south or west window to get direct light. But, filter the light through sheer curtains in the south and west windows where the light can be too intense. The alternative is using a good (usually expensive) grow light by brands like Sansi and Barrina.
