My baby hoya kerrii grew a leaf and I'm so excited! This is my first time having a leaf, so I don't know much about them. First, it doesn't yet look like my main thick heart shaped leaf. How long does it take for a new leaf to resemble the other one? And any other tips about hoya kerii would be appreciated!💕🌱

    You got very lucky! Most single leaf Kerii are zombie plants that are “alive” but can’t grow any further. This new leaf won’t change shape to resemble a heart, this happens from and is no cause for concern. As the plant matures it will grow the thicker, heart shaped leaves. With thick leaved Hoya like Kerii do be sure to let the soil completely dry out between watering, they’re highly susceptible to intaking too much water and getting black spots called edema, they’re unsightly and irreversible. Also, don’t repot for a while! It’s tempting to repot when you see a plant with new growth, but Hoya love to have compact roots and repotting will likely disrupt the new growth cycle.
