I bought my first Hoya! It’s a variegated hoya heuschkeliana. It seems to be struggling to acclimate and I’m just wondering if anyone has the same Hoya and how they care for it? It’s currently under a grow light and I’m watering whenever it feels dry about 2 inches down in the pot. Thanks!

They like to dry out and are prone to root rot, so make sure the substrate isn't moist beyond two inches down before you water. If the leaves don't bend, it doesn't need water. What sort of substrate is it in? It needs chunky, like coco chips and coco coir, that's it. They love the light, so it's great that you have it under a grow light. Make sure the humidity is at least 50% too

It came in what looked like just a regular soil mix with perlite. I repotted it with soil, perlite and orchid bark. I made it a lot chunkier. I’ll let it dry out more between watering, that’s probably part of my issue.
