When i was on extended vacation last year my Hoya bloomed. It was at the end of bloom when I got back in October. After the two flowers died I cut off the stem which I later learned was a mistake. Since I wasn’t around when it bloomed and it was her first time, I don’t know what a flower bud looks like. Could this be one?

looks more like the growing tip of a vine to me. hoya will grow these little things that look like tridents 🧜‍♂️😂 & in my experience the two sides turn into leaves & the middle will continue to grow. a peduncle will look more like a tiny stump at the tip of a vine. it will then separate into a bunch of little buds.

i can’t really tell, the photo is pretty dark 😅 you can just do a google search for peduncles! & specific to this species too.

Might be a peduncle in the dark pic.

This looks more like a peduncle. But it’s hard to tell with the pic. Too dark

Looks like a new vine growth. My photo shows a Hoya Lacunosa with several peduncles of different sizes.

Looks like you have an H. carnosa. Here is a closeup of a carnosa with a peduncle. Notice the (somewhat) long rachis. This carnosa has bloomed 4 or 5 times. It will get a little longer with each bloom. When it’s new, you’ll notice it starts to fan out with little beads forming. This is the beginning of the influorescence. Hope this helps 😊
