Look, look, looooook! A baby leaf. I thought I killed the poor thing. Good reason never to throw a plant away cuz ya never know lol. Had to share P.s. is it normal for the leaf to come through looking spotty and purpleish? My word. lol

    Hoyas are forgiving. New leaves come in many colors on hoyas. There is no issue. The new leaf on these are darker and very fuzzy.

      Sorry Anya, umm water every 13ish day. Wait till it drys. Part sun Part shade. Is this what you are asking Anya?

    Care conditions on mine was to add Osmocote timed release fertilizer when I got it September 2023. It was under a grow light that winter for 12 hours a day. The photo was the new growth in March this year. I just watered when the chunky soil dried out. I fertilized with 50% diluted Miracle Gro blue crystal fertilizer about once a month in winter. I add SuperThrive plant vitamins with the fertilizer.

      So, Super Thrive isn’t a fertilizer? I don’t use it, but maybe I need to add it to mine as well. Also, do you always keep your grow lights on 12 hours a day in the winter? Thank you so much for any advice!

      SuperThrive is award winning and has been around since the 1940s. It smells like liquid baby vitamins. It works for my plants. I run my single plant grow lights at least 12 hours a day and up to 14 hours if I think a plant needs more light. All of my plants are tropical plants except two Norfolk pines I bought to decorate for Christmas. The tropical plants can take the light.

    I use liquid dirt and a tiny drop of liquid fertilizer every water I am sure their are more advanced plant mamas and papas lol

    Nothing wrong with it at all. caudata leaves just go through a lil ugly duckling phase when they first come out. On both of mine I’ve noticed that the uglier the leaf starts at the beginning the more beautiful and prolific the leaf becomes as it matures.
