Two Green Thumbs
The new leaves on my Hoya Blessing aren’t as splashy as the original leaves …. Am I doing something wrong? Does it need a lot of light?

The splash forms as the outer surface of the leaf hardens and forms a clear waxy cuticle. Te cuticle surface is not uniform across the surface. The splashes looks like the cuticle is not sticking to the lower layers of the leaf surface, is a simple way to state it. The new leaves have not fully grown and have not completely developed the cuticle outer layer. Because the leaf needs to be pliable to grow. Hoyas like bright light. Avoid intense sunlight. They do B.V. well in early morning or late afternoon direct sunlight or under a grow light. 🍀🪴
