I got this gorgeous Hoya Surigaoensis less than a month ago. it’s doing great. Highly recommended! I got this from Etsy, but, Gabriella has the starter plants on sale for $12.50! I have two large ones and can’t get more or I would order it. Both my large plants are one plant that branched out. I don’t have room for a third. 😄 It arrived with the longest vine bent to fit in the shipping box. I straightened the vine, wrapped it several times with a thin strip of notebook paper and secured it with a little butterfly clip. I found the tiniest mealybug and some sugar ants after removing the paper. War declared! I lost my lovely Hoya Krimson Queen to mealybugs after several weeks of fighting. Never again.

    I’d have a hard time repeat buying from a seller that sent me a plant with pests. You seem to have a great attitude about it!

      There were no pests on it when it arrived. I check and isolate every plant. My two Hoya Surigaoensis were bought from different sellers about 8 months apart. The mealybug was likely brought onto the plant by the ants who have been putting aphids on almost all my peduncles and new tender growth points. Here was sap leaking from that bent vine making it attractive to mealybugs.
