I'm a new Hoyer grower and have questions. Have a Hoya Obovata that bloomed last summer. Now I have this little Krimson Queen. They will both go on my porch this coming summer. We are holding their own inside and are planted in a chunky well draining mix. I'd like suggestions on getting them through the winter.

Keep them warm, avoid drafts, keep in bright indirect light or under a grow light and only water when the soil dries out. They tend to grow slower in colder months. So, they may use less water meaning the soil will take longer to dry out. Don’t water to a set schedule. Always very the soil is dry before watering. Over watering occurs often in winter.

Lots o’ light 🙂. That being said, both of mine have been pretty tolerant of limited light and cold overnights bottoming out at ~50 degrees F.
