I got this Krimson Queen at my local nursery a few months ago and I’m not seeing any growth. The ends of the vines look like they may be dying off but I’m not 100% sure. She seems leggy but this is my first Hoya so I’m not sure what to expect! Should I repot? Does she look normal? Any advice is appreciated :)

New growth comes with bright indirect light at least 8 - 12 hours if under a grow light. They can take direct sunlight in early morning or late afternoon. The dry ends on the vines and dropped leaves indicate it’s staying dry too long. It should dry out before watering. But, will pull moisture from the leaves to supply the roots if it stays dry too long. The clay pot will pull out more moisture. Hoyas like a cozy pot size for their root system similar to their native environment where they grow on trees. Larger pots will grow more roots than leaves. The picture shows my Hoya Coronaria in a 4” pot. It gets direct sunlight until 10:30am which is driving a lot of shiny new leaves since spring. The older leaves have dry spots. I water every 3 days because of the hot temperatures. I fertilize every 2 weeks with 50% diluted Miracle Gro and SuperThrive plant vitamins. 🍀🪴

Thank you! I have repotted her into a smaller plastic pot and placed her under a grow light. Hopefully this turns it around!
