How to fertilize grass

Most grasses aren't that picky when it comes to being fertilized. In fact, grasses planted in the ground hardly need any fertilizer at all, but for your potted grasses, you'll need to add some nutrients from time to time. Any all-purpose fertilizer for potted plants or an all-round fertilizer for the garden will do perfectly fine.

• Mix the fertilizer with water according to the instructions on the package

• Pour the solution over the soil

• Continue adding the solution to the pot until it starts to run out of the drainage holes in the bottom

• After about 1 hour, check that the pot isn’t sitting in water - and if needed pour off excess water
