Hi, I'm new to basil growing! What does drying the basil do? Should I do that when I harvest mine?

You are able to cook with the dried basil! Usually you can just use it straight off the plant… but if you have to prune the plant or have more basil than you can eat before it goes bad, drying is a great way to save it so it does not go to waste
