New to gardening. I have a sweet pepper plant and cucumbers growing. They both are about 5-6 inches and over an inch wide. My question is how do I know when they are ready to picked?

You want to pick your cucs when they are youngish. I generally harvest around 3 to 4 inches. Old ones are oh soooooo bitter.
