Dreaming about having a huge edible garden in Houston. I’ve started with tomatoes and herbs in planters for now. Any advice on what foods grow best in Houston by season and the best way to organize it in above ground planters? Our yard faces west and one side of our yard is unobstructed sunshine all day (East to west). Any help would be appreciated!

I would look for local resources. Often times they will have planting calendars, suggestions on varieties that work well in your area or even workshops on specific topics. I find the mom and pop nursery to be extremely helpful in that areas.

Good luck!
