It’s getting really big, and is popping out cute little spikes 🤩 This is my first (and only) cactus and I’ve got a big soft spot for her. I brought her back with me on a plane in my purse 🤣 (First photo is around a month ago and second photo is from today) ![Attachment 1 of 2](https://images.getplanta.com/v1/resize/livSpt4Z6M_b_ZjChwUVsgkeRerC3ULlKbMAiYtJK8I/d-pz5JhpSoGJwkKfu6BLEA.webp?size=large) ![Attachment 2 of 2](https://images.getplanta.com/v1/resize/livSpt4Z6M_b_ZjChwUVsgkeRerC3ULlKbMAiYtJK8I/IDUN2IzBR8mMUHqQ3Wa_IA.webp?size=large) ## 17 comments ### Autumn commented on 2025-03-07 hooray! thx for the update! ### Mindy commented on 2025-03-07 Where did you get her? I love weird cactus like this 💚 #### Ms.Issy replied on 2025-03-07 On a trip to Missouri last year, I got lucky and a local greenhouse had 4 of them. I’ve also seen them for sale online, Etsy and weirdly I think Home Depot or Lowe’s. ### Wolfen 🐺 commented on 2025-03-07 Awesome!! I love watching them pop out new spheres. It's one of my favorite cacti I own. #### Ms.Issy replied on 2025-03-07 It’s been so fun to watch! I always stare at her whenever I’m in my kitchen. Consequently, I take way longer to get anything done in there. 😂 How quickly does yours grow? I’ve been trying to research how fast or slow they grow; but I’ve not been having much luck finding answers. #### Wolfen 🐺 replied on 2025-03-08 I live in WA so the top growth really slowed down once winter hit. I got it as just a ball first week of July. Late July it started pushing out a second sphere and was griwing really quickly. And it hasn't progressed much. I think the lower light and heat have definitely impacted it ![Attachment 1 of 1](https://images.getplanta.com/v1/resize/LABcXOiTFudmBUCsau2S0dZnnxDdeMAvwSHhNs7sG2k/z6TBDwPIRZyFs_yheWQwZw.webp?size=large) #### Ms.Issy replied on 2025-03-08 Aww 🥰 she’s so cute! I live in New England, the lower light situation right now is no joke here as well. I cannot wait for spring, I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 it gets to you quickly too! #### Wolfen 🐺 replied on 2025-03-08 We've been having our usual PNW "Fools Spring" in which it gets up to mid 60s and sunny and then drops back to mid 30s and pouring rain for a week lol. I've been setting up a new plant shelf, and I think this will go on it, to get some artificial life. ### JW commented on 2025-03-08 I took a time lapse of a flower on this cactus blooming while I was away and my dog knocked it over. #### Ms.Issy replied on 2025-03-08 🫣 puppy nooo! Was the cactus okay? ### Sharon commented on 2025-03-08 It looks like a pineapple 😆 #### Ms.Issy replied on 2025-03-08 Right! My husband just said that earlier this week 😂 ### Buffy commented on 2025-03-08 Holy smokes! That is so cool ### Carrie commented on 2025-03-08 So cool! ### Leilani commented on 2025-03-08 I love that it’s in a tea tin! What a great idea! I might do that! #### Ms.Issy replied on 2025-03-08 The tin was too cute to throw away, and the nursery pot fit inside it; instantly cute! 🫖 🌵 ### 7Bee commented on 2025-03-09 Amazing.
