# Hello there! I was wondering if you suggest I re-pot my zebra plant?…

Hello there!
I was wondering if you suggest I re-pot my zebra plant? It looks like there’s more than one in there?!
I repotted it back in September/October and it was just the one main plant there

You could put them all in a bigger pot together, they grow in a big clump and it looks great like that too. I just potted one and put pups from another kind in with it. They are fun plants to have 😃

I used a plastic container and burned holes in the bottom

Oh wow! That looks great. I’ll do that. I wasn’t sure if it was ok to do at this time of the year.
Thanks 🙏🏼

Make sure you don’t water for a few days after the repot to let the roots heal and some cinnamon powder on the roots helps keep the root rot away. 😉

I thought it was important to water after repotting to help the plant/dirt all settle? Fairly new to this but eager to learn more! :)

These are just like my cactus plants but they call them succulents. Naturally they grow in arid climates so they rely on their fat roots to store water and don’t need as much water as a tropical plants. I use a chunky bonsai mix with a succulent mix. Small pots need more peat than larger ones. I’m in a humid climate so it’s best for me to keep it low on the peat. Drainage is a must they enjoy a flash flood once in a while, usually when I spray them with neem oil, caster soap, cinnamon oil in warm water. I hope this helps you to understand them 🪴
If you need to ask me about anything, please feel free to 😁
\*I did a root trim on this one last week and she sat on my dresser for a few days before I repotted
