Africa “splitting” plants. My mind continues to remain blown as I scan through the subtleties of all these leaves. And then I set them next to Mexican Echeveria and, armed with only street science, spout off about a leaf traveling across oceans to create a culture. Hi there. Baby Toes was a pain to figure out due to the misting needs. I actually made an Instagram friend who does biodiversity tours in Cape Town to figure out why they’re such a pain. He listened to my theories lol and mentioned that they get a tiny sea breeze from a coast. This pic is from him - it gave me some perspective.
