Here is an example of “will fill the pot with roots” that actually worked. Meaning, it spread instead of compacted.

I have no secret other than I used very little soil - that worked with this plant, but not so well with a couple Mammillaria.

Pardon the piece of plastic on there. It belonged to a plastic Allosaurus.

Omg that’s beautiful! I am quite new to Cacti, why type is that?

Hi there. This is Euphorbia ferox, which grows in South Africa. I am obligated by plants and the two cultivars who yelled this at me to mention that Euphorbia is its own family of succulents. It’s super similar to the cactus family in that, I mean, it’s spiny and gnarled. Without really looking it up, Euphorbia seem to be what developed instead of cactus in that area (Cape Town and surrounding area).

Also, Euphorbia is much easier to grow than most cactus lol. They aren’t as sensitive to being moved around; they don’t seem to be tied to a “the sun rises in the East, moves accordingly” cycle. They are crazy anomalies who know how to take care of themselves (kinda lol).
