# Hi there!! I’m a new plant mom and I just watered this little one.…

Hi there!! I’m a new plant mom and I just watered this little one.

When I took a closer look at her, I noticed this white growth in the tip of my cactus…. Is this normal or is this some type of fungus?

I’ll try to get a closer picture tonight! But it was kind of fuzzy? It just looked pretty white and crusty

I think I see some mealy bugs on the left hand cactus … but not sure if the focus is just fuzzy.

That’s what I was thinking or wondering. I couldn’t tell if they were mealy or just new growth.

Yes! Actually it did look like really tiny bugs on the left hand side where it’s white and crusty. And I think the bottom of the plant near the dirt looked hairy. I can take closer pics later today

Oh yeh those are mealy bugs! I think rubbing alcohol treatment is helpful .. or possibly insecticidal soap. Google or YouTube will have lots of advice. Good luck!
