# Just a little inspo for those who don’t think they can grow…

Just a little inspo for those who don’t think they can grow succulents - I inherited this plant in Sept ‘22 and look at it now (right before I cut the long stems to propagate)! All it takes is sun, not too much water, more sun, and patience. ❤️

That sun part is the most important part. I can’t speak for others but since my windows face east and west, and I liner on the east side of a North - South Street, I get so few minutes of sunlight at the worst of the shortest day of the year.

Now in March, and when the weather is not doing the April Showers tryouts, my second floor western window sets 3 hours of sun. My eastern facing windows 2 hours of sun in the morning.

So when it comes to succulents in this house it’s always a stretch to say they do well.

Mine only stay in the house when it’s too cold to be outside. Once the weather is above 45° - 50° at night they’re off to the porch! They definitely don’t thrive inside here as much as they do outside.

I did invest in some clip grow lights this year, have you tried that? It will help them over the winter until they’re outside/full sun again.

Hi there,

Sorry for the tardy reply.

I did have one of those octopus lights this year and it did help a little.

Today I need to be Tonya Harding though and fix the legginess of 4 succulents.

And I’m terrified I’m going to kill them all.

John
