what on earth is my plant doing? 😂 can i cut this piece off? it looks like a THICK shoot? idk what to call it, should i just leave it be for now?

i don’t have one of these plants but she looks like she’s either putting out a baby or a flower, either way it’s a good thing! you can chop her off and if it’s a baby i would either chop and pot up or let it grow off mom

Aloe do crazy things. This one put up a gigantic "flower" and grew all this blonde last year.

Is that alive? It looks like my star firecracker aloe but its green

The color of my star aloe in this picture doesn't do it justice. Its pretty green in real life

Yes. Good question, though ha. I repotted it, and it’s doing a little “settling.” Here’s the pic I couldn’t find earlier.

Different species, but note how the pups are all on stems? They aim for the ground, take root, and then clump.

I bought a small (6”) aloe vera last year. I live in South Louisiana, where sometimes it’s very dry, and sometimes VERY wet. Apparently aloe vera love this climate! It grew and grew, and FLOWERED! I didn’t even know they DID that! Lol
