# Is anyone familiar with this Echeveria hybrid Raquel? I bought it…

_Posted by Phil on 2025-07-05_

Is anyone familiar with this Echeveria hybrid Raquel? I bought it several weeks ago because it was one I had never heard of. I think those are flower stalks coming out of the sides. But I don’t recall echeverias having leaves on the flower stalks. Very little info online. And I don’t think it’s etoliated because it’s under a very bright grow light. In fact it actually got a little burned from it. It has grown a lot in very shot time.

Looks like you might have a death bloom. It's uncommon for echevarias to do that, but some hybrids are prone to it and sometimes it just happens randomly. You might want to start some props

But death blooms usually come out of the center of the rosette I believe. Cause I was thinking that too.

Oh weird. It does look like the start of blooming. But also like a pup offset.
