The roofers hurt my prickly pear! Any suggestions? Some are loose at the corking, some are broken/torn in the middle.
Should I cut them off?

Maybe give them a bit or time to heal. You can use plant tape to give them more support. I wouldn’t cut them until you are sure it won’t get better or they start to rot.

Plant tape?!! Ok I’ll look into that.
Thank you!!

I would just go ahead and cut where all the snapped parts are. I'm sorry, I'd definitely give them an ear full. You can just take the broken pads and bury them in the soil around the mother cactus and they will root up nicely. Next year it'll look nice and filled in when you get new growth on the new pads.

That's horrid, im sorry. I would just cut and prop the broken pieces. Trying to have them stay on and heal could cause pockets of rot, if they don't dry out properly.
