They will propagate just like that without soil. Placing light near that paper towel is even better. Leaves that fall of a mother plant onto a shelf grow new plants without human intervention. 😁 So, you can lay the lot on top of the soil with planting into the soil and without waiting for them to callous.

Yes! I learned this by accident and now have two babies fully growing their little selves!

This is the easiest way to grow them. No worries about overwatering or over misting. Just put them on top of the soil when ready.
