no! these are grafted onto host plants — in this case, dragonfruit cacti. so it won’t grow back, but the dragonfruit will likely grow long arms with proper light

The top is squishy… do you think it’s from being overwatered?

I would say your suspicion is correct. The mushy top is probably from cells bursting due to overwatering. They like very sandy soil and don’t like being watered more than once every week and a half or so in most climates.

I’d say water even less than that in these plastic pots
