# So confused… I had a Burro’s Tail and wanted to get another to add to…

So confused… I had a Burro’s Tail and wanted to get another to add to it. Well it’s a completely different color. It’s been months now with them together, same lighting, and they’re still different colors. Are they the same plant? Thanks!

they are the same plant, one just looks like it has something it doesn’t like. could be light, temperature or watering. i don’t know, because i’m not very familiar with these guys.

I’ve had the darker one much longer, but they’re treated the same. Picky little things, lol.

that’s the way with all plants. 😂😭 they all need something different and the more plants you have, the harder life gets, lmao.

It just happens for whatever. I have two goldfish plants I want to pot together but one is a darker green. I’m still going to pot them together. They will look fine.

maybe age? is one significantly older than the other one?

I have had the darker one much longer but they’re similar in size. I’m going to put them together and maybe one day they’ll blend.

if it is age/living conditions they should even out to the same color eventually. plus it might look neat to have two colors for a while!

I think they will look nice together even though they are different shades.

One might be a sedum morganianum and the other might be a sedum burrito. Both are called burro’s tail.

Yes definitely same plant just lighting can change colors. This one has changed over the winter just because of the sun in the greenhouse hit one side different then the other side.

As soon as it goes out of the greenhouse the color changes again
