I hate to respond because I don’t want to freak you out, but I think that’s rot. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in soon. I’m not sure if they can rot in two weeks. In the meantime, maybe see if you have a picture from when you bought it so you can see if it actually had that when you bought it. If so, you might can take it back to the store you bought it at and exchange it. If it is rot, and is special or not returnable, I am pretty sure you can cut into these to remove rot.

But please don’t cut into it just based on me.😅 Let’s see what others say. But do look for a photo from when you bought it.

I got it in southern nevada and now im in nebraska so i cant return it, but ill do some more research to see. Worst case scenerio, i cut it off right there because theres two seperste cacti in the same spot. Thank you so much !!

I would separate out the healthy plant and look up how to separate that healthy top growth.
