# Anyone know what kind of cactus this is? I have a feeling this pot is…

Anyone know what kind of cactus this is? I have a feeling this pot is way too small so I put it in a larger pot (I don’t have a picture of it in its new pot yet) I was curious if it does need more room since it looks like smaller cacti are coming off it. Will this cactus grow taller? I’ve had it for a year I think

Mammillaria Mother of Hundreds? First time I’ve seen one, not sure. Love it though!

I don’t think it will/should get much taller (unless it starts reaching for sun) but it will continue to send out pups and spread - which is cool!

I don’t think the pot is too small. Cacti have small root systems and they need to dry out quickly, so a large pot would risk the soil staying wet for too long.

You might have Mammillaria vouburnensis, or Mother of Hundreds. Has it put out any flowers? (Pictured is my old vouburnensis.)

No it hasn’t put out any flowers. I think I’ve had it maybe a year.
