The AC repair guy cut this plant down to replace our unit. Am I able to save this cactus? 😭

I think so, let the cut part callus over then put it in some soil

I'd give it a fresh cut with sterilized cutters, but otherwise yeah, it'll do great. Lie it down like that in a sunny spot while a callous forms, then stick it in a pot (fill about two inches of pot with soil, stick it in, fill the rest of the pot. He's tall, so a stake may help support him while he works on roots.) Then water him in and care for him as a normal potted cactus. If you live where cacti can grow outside, you could also just plant him directly

Let it scab over on the bottom and replant that’s it pretty much.🌵
