# Why hasn’t my jade plant grown? I have watered it with the Planta app…

Why hasn’t my jade plant grown? I have watered it with the Planta app and it is placed by a window facing east with sunlight. It doesn’t seem to have grown in close to a year, but it’s still alive.

A few things to check off.  
1\. Is the soil gritty succulent soil?  
2\. Are you watering when the soil is totally dry? Planta is a guide to help. Not always correct because of so many variables.  
3\. Is she getting the correct amount of sun? They like very bright light, even morning sun. Leaf edges will turn burgundy with enough sun.

Fertilizing might help the plant (if you aren’t already doing that)
